Overview
This Delivery Policy explains shipping responsibilities, estimated delivery times, tracking, customs, lost or damaged shipments, cancellations, and delivery restrictions on JustiBuy. JustiBuy is a marketplace connecting buyers with independent sellers; sellers are primarily responsible for packing, shipping, and delivery of items unless otherwise stated in a listing.
Shipping Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for shipping items sold on JustiBuy. Sellers must: – Pack items securely and ship within the handling time stated in their listings. – Provide accurate shipping costs and estimated delivery times. – Attach required customs documentation for international shipments (including HS codes when applicable). – Provide tracking numbers where available and update order status accordingly.
Shipping Methods and Carriers
Sellers may choose the carrier and shipping method (for example, USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or local carriers). JustiBuy offers optional integrations with shipping providers (EasyPost or Shippo) to compare rates and purchase labels, but JustiBuy is not a carrier and is not liable for carrier performance.
Handling TimeEstimated Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times combine handling time and carrier transit time. Examples (these are estimates only and may vary by carrier, destination, and customs): – Domestic (within seller’s country): 2–7 business days after shipment – Regional (neighboring countries): 5–14 business days after shipment – International (long-distance): 7–30+ business days after shipment Actual delivery times depend on carrier performance, customs processing, local holidays, and other factors outside seller control.
Shipping Rates and Fees
– Shipping rates may be calculated using real-time carrier rates (via EasyPost/Shippo) or set as flat rates by sellers. – Buyers are responsible for paying the shipping amount displayed at checkout unless the seller offers free shipping. – For international orders, buyers may be responsible for import duties, taxes, and customs fees unless the seller specifies otherwise.
Tracking and Notifications
– Sellers should provide tracking numbers for shipped orders whenever available. – Buyers will receive email notifications with tracking information if the seller supplies it. – Buyers can check order status in their account on JustiBuy. Tracking information is the best indicator of shipment progress; delivery times are provided by carriers.
Lost or Undelivered Packages
– If a package is lost or not delivered, buyers should first contact the seller via JustiBuy messaging to allow the seller to investigate with the carrier. – Sellers should file claims with carriers as needed and cooperate with buyers to resolve issues (replacement, refund, or partial refund) per their return policy. – If the seller is unresponsive or unable to resolve the issue, buyers may escalate to JustiBuy support for mediation. JustiBuy may review order records, communications, and tracking to determine an appropriate remedy.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
– If an item arrives damaged or is significantly not as described, buyers must contact the seller immediately through the JustiBuy messaging system and provide photos and evidence. – Sellers are expected to investigate and offer a remedy (refund, replacement, or partial refund) per their return policy. – If the seller does not respond or resolve the issue, buyers may escalate to JustiBuy support for assistance.
International Shipments and Customs
– Sellers must provide accurate customs documentation and HS codes for international shipments. – Buyers are responsible for paying import duties, VAT/GST, and customs clearance fees unless the seller expressly states that duties are included. – Customs delays are outside JustiBuy’s control; delivery estimates may be affected by inspection and clearance times.
Restricted Items and Delivery Limitations
– Some items may be restricted or prohibited for shipment to certain countries (e.g., hazardous materials, regulated goods). Sellers must comply with all export and import regulations. – Sellers should clearly state any location-based shipping restrictions (countries or regions they do not ship to) in their listings. – Deliveries to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or remote locations may be restricted by carrier; sellers must indicate such limitations.
Order Cancellations
– Buyers may request to cancel orders before the seller ships the item. Cancellation requests must be made via the messaging system. – If the seller has already shipped the item, the buyer must follow the seller’s return policy for returns and refunds.
Returns, Refunds and Replacements
– Returns and refunds are governed by the seller’s return policy. For damaged, defective, or not-as-described items, buyers should follow the process in the “Damaged or Incorrect Items” section. – If a seller agrees to provide a replacement, the seller is responsible for shipping the replacement item in a timely manner.
Carrier Claims and Insurance
– Sellers may choose to purchase shipping insurance for high-value items; this should be reflected in the listing if applicable. – For insured shipments, sellers should file claims with the carrier and follow carrier procedures for reimbursement. Buyers should cooperate by providing required information.
Seller Obligations and Enforcement
– Sellers must ship orders in accordance with their stated handling times, provide tracking, and respond to buyer inquiries. – Repeated failure to ship, excessive late shipments, or refusal to cooperate in resolving delivery problems may lead to account suspension or removal by JustiBuy.
Force Majeure
JustiBuy and sellers are not liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, government actions, pandemic-related disruptions, or carrier outages.
Changes to This Delivery Policy
JustiBuy may update this Delivery Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
